1. The short version

Your files and your data stay on your device. KitchenOS processes everything locally and never uploads your documents, subtitles, or kitchen data to our servers. The only data we collect is what's needed to run the paid services (account, purchase, and subscription records).

2. What this product does with your data

• KitchenOS (free desktop): offline-first; recipes, inventory, and orders live in a local database on your machine.
• KitchenOS Premium: adds cloud sync of the kitchen data you explicitly choose to sync across your devices and kitchens.

3. Accounts and payments

Accounts are provided by Clerk (identity provider) and purchases are processed by Stripe. We store only what our own services need: your account identifier, what you purchased, and subscription status. We never see or store your full card number — payments are handled by Stripe under their own privacy policy.

4. What we do NOT collect

• We do not sell or rent personal data.
• We do not use advertising trackers or cross-site ad networks.
• We do not read your documents, subtitles, EPUBs, or kitchen data.

5. Cookies and local storage

The app uses local browser storage to remember your language preference and (where applicable) your sign-in session. No third-party advertising cookies are used.

6. Data retention and deletion

You can delete your account at any time from the product dashboard, which removes your account and associated records. Local app data is deleted when you remove the app's data folder or uninstall.
